Thermal Runaway
Thermal runaway describes an uncontrolled chain reaction inside a battery cell, where rising temperature releases more and more heat and the process reinforces itself. Without effective countermeasures, this can lead to smoke, fire, or in rare cases an explosion. A reliable BMS, along with cell chemistry with high thermal stability (like sodium-ion) significantly reduces this risk.
