PHENOGY Series 1
Plug & Play Sodium-Ion BESS:
flexible, scalable, deployment-ready.

This modular sodium-ion battery energy storage system is available in cabinet and container configurations, enabling flexible sizing behind-the-meter – tailored to your operational needs. It’s also proven in the field: As Europe’s first large-scale sodium-ion installation, it delivers successful results in live operation.
Built for your needs
Where standard systems fall short
Demanding environments, space-constrained sites, applications where conventional solutions reach their limits.
Safety and supply chain exposure
Standard systems fall short where safety requirements are high and critical supply chain dependencies can't be ignored.
Safer by design, resilient by nature
Designed for enhanced safety, with reduced dependence on critical supply chains - built to perform where it matters most.

Disclaimer: Layout and specifications are subject to change as part of our continuous improvement process.
*Energy Trading (Arbitrage): Our battery storage enables arbitrage by storing low-cost or self-generated electricity and using it when market prices
are high – helping to optimize costs and reduce CO₂ emissions, while enabling additional value through energy trading.
Communication with external systems or commercial aggregators is primarily handled via the SMA SI50-20 inverter. The available interfaces (Ethernet, Modbus TCP, RS485) and the SMA Data Manager are used for central control and data transmission to higher-level systems such as energy management systems, monitoring platforms, or grid operators.
