Air Cooling

Air cooling is a thermal management approach for battery storage systems in which fans or air conditioning units cool the battery cells using ambient air. Compared to liquid cooling, it typically provides less cooling capacity and less even temperature distribution, but is simpler and lower-cost. PHENOGY's sodium-ion cells, thanks to their higher temperature tolerance, allow the use of air cooling, reducing the auxiliary power needed for cooling.
