LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate)
LFP (lithium iron phosphate) is a lithium-ion cell chemistry with iron phosphate as the cathode material and currently the most widely used chemistry in stationary battery storage. LFP does without cobalt and nickel but still requires lithium, whose mining and supply chains are the subject of critical debate. This is an important difference from sodium-ion cells.
