State of Charge (SoC)

State of Charge (SoC) indicates how much energy is currently stored in a battery storage system relative to its maximum capacity, usually expressed as a percentage. The value is used to control charging and discharging and to protect cells from deep discharge or overcharging. Precise SoC monitoring is a core task of the BMS.
