Microgrid

A microgrid is a spatially defined energy system that combines multiple generation sources, storage, and loads (for example across a company site) and controls them intelligently. It can operate in tandem with the public grid or, in so-called island mode, function independently for a period of time. Battery storage is the central component that balances generation and consumption over time. Not every battery storage system can establish an island grid; PHENOGY systems are island-capable.
